Coed Schedule Change #37

Unfortunately the league was not able to put together a 9th team, so the schedule will be modified one last time.  Essentially, every team will now have a 2nd bye week, whenever they were scheduled to play the 9th team.  The Coed page as well as to our Google calendar have been updated.

Also, the Tuesday game between Snicklefritz and SPQR has been moved to 8:00 at Clark Field to accommodate both teams.

3.07.2012

We have a new, final Coed schedule from LYSA.  It has been posted to the Coed page as well as to our Google calendar.

Two important things to note.
  1. All Sunday games that were scheduled on field 2 will now be on field 3.
  2. Tuesday night games will be played both at Clark Field and Moore Park field 3.  Please check which carefully as it's not like you can just walk over to the other field if you get it wrong.

BRSC Women's Winter Freeze

The Women’s Winter Freeze Tournament series—hosted annually by the Baton Rouge Soccer Club—is in its sixth year. This one-day free tournament promotes the game of soccer to adult women players—both new players and experienced. The tournament will be held April 14, 2012, at the BREC Burbank Soccer Complex in Baton Rouge.

This year’s tournament will be opened for the first time to players from around the state. We anticipate between 100 and 120 women players from the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas, as well as Lafayette, Mandeville, Opelousas, and Lake Charles

Our primary goal is to promote the game of soccer (“your game for life”) to women who are seeking ways to remain fit and connected to other women. In the end, we are striving to increase the popularity of the game among adults, just as it has among youth, and to provide an opportunity for women to play together in a healthy and positive way.

This tournament is unique. Unlike most tournaments, teams don’t register, individuals do. Teams are created from the pool of registered players who are assigned randomly to teams. Registration is free to all pre-registered participants.

Please forward this information to your teammates and friends who may be interested in playing a day of soccer. Each participant will receive a t-shirt. Door prizes and other giveaways will also be handed out throughout the day. Teams will be organized at 8:00 a.m., followed by a quick yoga warm up and then bracket games. Peak Performance physical therapy will be on hand to answer questions.

More details about the tournament and the registration process are attached (or follow the links below to Google documents).

Looking forward to seeing you all in April,

New Coed Schedule

We have a new Coed schedule from LYSA. It has been posted to the Coed page as well as to our Google calendar.

Coed Schedule Changes

There has been a 9th team added to the coed league; so the current schedule is no longer valid. To prevent confusion, I have removed all games from the posted schedule as well as from our Google calendar.

We should have a new schedule from LYSA in the next day or so. The dates we play should remain the same, most likely a Tuesday game will be added in early April.
